Spent a fabulous hour watching a young Basking Shark hoover up the plankton in the nearby Score Bay at Duntulm. It was around half grown, but still around 3m long. We’ve just finished totally overhauling the bedrooms and now they are guest-ready! One bedroom has a king sized bed with 5,000 pocket spring mattress, feather pillows and Egyptian cotton sheets. The other bedroom has twin beds. Robes are provided, as are welcome toiletries, for all guests.
Eagle, certainly not a tortoise! I got up to 3 brown hares in the field next to the cottage. Two were leverets just running around together. Enjoying the fabulous weather at the moment, max’ed at 26 degrees yesterday. Walked up from the back of our cottage (on the left in the photo) onto a hill twice, once for breakfast… …and once for supper, to watch the sun go down.
Our two-person sauna was connected today, completing the installation in the main bathroom. Yesterday afternoon our local golden eagle came back and sat on the hill behind us for quite some time again, so I took a photo with my phone through our spotting scope.
